To Everything There is a Season | Gratuitous Wall Fine art
I hope everyone has been doing well and hopefully enjoying some libation temperatures as we move through fall.
A lot has been happening, and truthfully I've been taking some much needed time to get my legs underneath me as life continues to change. There's lots of good news and, with that, some changes ahead.
Expert News #1: The Job Hunt!
I got a job (give thanks heavens!) and will be starting back full-fourth dimension at piece of work in a few weeks. I was thrilled to have a position at a local college and will be once once more making strides in didactics.
If you've gone through a task hunt, y'all know the emotional and mental price information technology can accept, even when trying to embrace "funemployment." And if y'all're in that position, allow me take a moment to tell you this: y'all're astonishing; keep your chin up.
Good news #ii: Allow's Arrive Shape!
I hired a trainer and accept finally (thank heavens again!) gotten into the mindset I've needed to focus more on my health. I've worked out for the past two days and, while sore, am feeling the blithesome fizz of endorphins for the first time in oh-and then-long.
Has anyone else hired a trainer before? I never have. And you know what? Wow. Talk about accountability. Meeting and hiring Daniel was absolutely the kick in the pants I needed to make some necessary changes.
Good news #3: Rocking Horse Update!
The rocking horse is nearly washed! I've officially gone down the rabbit hole of wood carving and tin't wait to finish up, Dearest, our first rocking horse. (Pop over to Instagram stories to check her out.)
I have visions of lots of dissimilar princess inspired horses I cannot wait to cleave dancing through my listen. Our picayune pony Love volition be donated to charity, and I tin't wait to keep you posted.
I'll exist the showtime to acknowledge that I historically haven't handled change with grace. As someone who has battled anxiety, I'm really working on taking each solar day one stride at a time, trying to proceed my thoughts positive, fuel myself in healthy ways, and go rest.
Let'southward Remember that To Everything There is a Flavour
While all these changes are positive, there's still … modify. And change is hard and scary. 1 of the biggest things I'm learning is this:
Everything passes.
Anxiety, trepidation, concern, sadness, acrimony, despair, rage, worry. They laissez passer.
When I'm in the moment, and information technology feels like I'thou drowning, information technology's difficult to remember. But it'due south true. There's a time when I feel difficult feelings, and a time when they go away.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
I love Ecclesiastes three:1-viii for that reason. This verse reminds me that every moment has its time.
To every matter there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, a time to die;
a time to plant, and a fourth dimension to pluck upwards that which is planted;
A fourth dimension to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break downwards, and a time to build upwards;
A fourth dimension to weep, and a time to laugh;
a fourth dimension to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to encompass, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A fourth dimension to get, and a time to lose;
a time to proceed, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.
